Elvis Presley was loved and known as the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll. He was a pivotal figure in the music industry and to this day is still recognized as one of the greatest performers of all time. There’s no doubt that Presley is a true icon and that his memory will carry on forever.
Although Presley is no longer with us, his musical legacy has continued to live on. With hits such as “Jailhouse Rock,” “Blue Suede Shoes” and “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” it’s easy to see how the legendary star has continued to inspire other musicians and singers to this day. On top of that, his stage presence was other-worldly, and Presley was famous for his energetic movements and provocative performance style. This, blended with his unique vocal tone, made Presley an all-around rock and roll star.
On top of his career, Presley is also survived by his beautiful family. Many people in the Presley family have gone on to make a name for themselves while still honoring the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll, including his daughter Lisa Marie Presley and his granddaughter Riley Keough.
Presley was also famous for his marriage with Priscilla – but she wasn’t the only woman he had ever been in a public relationship with. In fact, Presley once dated the late actress Natalie Wood for a brief period of time. Wood began her career as a child and successfully transitioned to young adult roles. She died at the age of 43, and the events surrounding her death are still not completely clear.
Presley was a hardworking singer and musician who lived a busy life as he pursued his passions. His career first began in the 1950s and lasted until his death in 1977. He worked with bands during the early stages of his career as he did his best to make a name for himself. Fortunately, the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll was able to do just that, and became a bonafide rock star.
Wood was also a star for the majority of her life. She first found fame as a child star in “Miracle on 34th Street,” before going on to achieve success as a young adult. Wood was nominated for an Academy Award when she was just a teenager for her role in “Rebel Without a Cause.” She is also remembered for her amazing work in the musical film “West Side Story.”
While Presley was famous for his marriage to Priscilla, their relationship was nowhere near perfect. Their relationship was controversial in many ways. According to Biography.com, Priscilla was only 14 when she met Presley while he was stationed in Germany in 1959. Despite their 10-year age difference, Presley was smitten with her, according to Closer Weekly.
They went on to marry in 1967 and welcomed a daughter the following year. However, they divorced in 1973 as Presley’s partying lifestyle and unfaithful ways were too much for Priscilla, although she admitted that there was infidelity on both sides.
Wood also made headlines for her marriage to actor Robert Wagner. According to Biography.com, they had a tumultuous relationship that resulted in two marriages, with the first lasting from 1957 to 1962, and the second lasting from 1972 to Wood’s death in 1981.
