Elvis Presley fans were left all shook up when the King of Rock and Roll hit the stage alongside the America's Got Talent judges Simon Cowell, Sophia Vergara and Heidi Klum last night.
Metaphysic lined up their cameras and outfits to make it look like Elvis was alive and well, and standing right there on stage in front of the auditorium and millions of viewers at home.
The incredible special effects wizardry allowed Elvis to deliver a brief introduction about how grateful he was to attend the competition before launching into a medley of his hits.
The act kicked off with "Hound Dog", complete with shaking hips and lip curls. It really did look like the King had been resurrected and fans of the show were left gobsmacked by the incredible technology on display during the show, with one simply saying: "Elvis reborn."
Then the recreated Elvis launched into "Devil in Disguise" - but he didn't do it alone. Instead, he had some unexpected superstar help.
As the stunned audience cheered in delight, Elvis brought out two women as backing singers who were quickly revealed to be deepfake versions of AGT judges Heidi Klum and Sofia Vergara, with the real versions screaming with delight.
The "judges" shimmied and sang backing vocals before Elvis welcomed yet another member of the panel to the performance: Simon Cowell.
The real Simon threw his head into his hands as a spectre with his face appeared on the big screen in front of him, crooning along with the King.
Many are wondering if this is the future of entertainment, with the digital avatars of ABBA now headlining their own show in London. These recreations of superstars in their heyday truly look like the real thing, and surely it won't be long before The King has his own show.
The BGT judges heaped praise on what they had witnessed as Vergara confessed: "It was amazing. I think it’s so much fun when you came into the show."
Cowell, in particular, had some major words of support for Metaphysic. He said: "This is the most incredible and original act we’ve ever had on the show."
This isn't the first time a major celebrity has been brought back from the dead using technology.
Tupac was infamously revived through hologram technology in 2012 for a special Coachella performance.
Elvis' arrival in the building was a huge success, and likely spurred on by his growing popularity. The singer's name has been on everyone's lips since his biopic "Elvis" hit cinema screens.
The Hollywood star who portrayed Elvis, Austin Butler, was praised for his impression of the King - but Metaphysic's rendition of the star was on another level.
